SEA SYNERGY MARINE AWARENESS CENTRE

Sea Synergy Education (Youth & Students)

Sea Synergy facilitates student and youth workshops for language schools, universities, colleges and secondary students that are looking for a meaningful experience that will allow their students to discover Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way as well as marine careers, conservation, STEM, leadership, and team-building skills. Workshops can be tailored to your group’s needs and include outdoor activities and an indoor interactive experience in our Sea Life Exhibition. We also operate a summer internship program for students who are looking to gain experience in marine education and research.

Schools

Sea Synergy offers fun and interactive learning for both primary and secondary school students in the form of cross-curricular workshops in the outdoors, in the Sea Life Exhibition, or a visit to the school.

We work with the Marine Institute on the Marine Explorers Programme for primary schools in Kerry and with the Heritage Council’s Heritage in Schools Programme nationwide.

Our workshops introduce your students to the exciting sea life that lives in Irish waters. All our workshops also have a sustainability and conservation message that encourages environmental stewardship. Contact Sea Synergy if you would like your school to participate in one of our exciting workshops! Additionally, workshops can be tailored to your specific needs. Topics covered include: Biodiversity, Water Conservation, Marine Life in Ireland, Leave No Trace, Irish Whales and Dolphins, Shark Tales, Be the Solution to Ocean Plastic Pollution, and more.
