Secondary Education
Sea Synergy facilitates student and youth workshops for language schools, secondary schools, universities, and colleges that are looking for a meaningful experience that will allow their students to discover Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way as well as marine careers, conservation, STEAM, leadership, and team-building skills.
Workshops can be tailored to your group’s needs and include outdoor activities on the seashore, interactive indoor workshops, and school visits. We also operate a summer internship program for students who are looking to gain experience in marine education and research. (see Internships/Work Experience or link to the page here)
Sea Synergy also offers work experience opportunities for secondary school students interested in marine biology, education, environmental science, conservation, and more! Shadow a Marine Biologist for a week and learn what responsibilities and tasks they have in their day-to-day lives. Opportunities range from headland surveys of marine mammals, rock pool biodiversity surveys, monitoring water quality of local beaches, participating in beach clean-ups, learning to take samples from stranded marine mammals, and more.
