TALKS AND WORKSHOPS

Talks and Workshops

Sea Synergy delivers talks and educational workshops to audiences of all sizes, ages and backgrounds on an array of marine topics. Including talks in schools on careers in ocean science, an introduction to Ireland’s marine biodiversity, guided whale and dolphin watches and much more.

Sessions can be tailored to your group’s needs and interests. The can take place outdoors, indoors, and online they can be practical, just theory or a mixture.

We also operate a summer internship program for students who are looking to gain experience in marine education and research. As well as work experience opportunities for secondary school students interested in marine biology, education, environmental science, conservation, and more! Shadow a Marine Biologist for a week and learn what responsibilities and tasks they have in their day-to-day lives. Opportunities range from land based surveys of marine mammals, rock pool biodiversity surveys, organising beach cleans, assisting with seashore safaris and snorkel tours, and much more.

Sea Synergy founder Lucy Hunt has worked with The Ocean Race to develop an award-winning education programme and learning resources that highlight the importance of the ocean and how plastic pollution is damaging our blue planet. For more information, please visit the site.
