BIOLUMINESCENCE SNORKELLING TOUR

Join us on a magical night-time snorkelling adventure in search of one of nature’s most fascinating phenomena—bioluminescence.

Bioluminescence is the natural light produced by tiny marine plankton when disturbed in the water. Under the right conditions, every movement can create glowing blue-green sparkles beneath the surface.

Because bioluminescence is a natural phenomenon, it cannot be guaranteed. Its intensity depends on weather, sea conditions, water temperature and plankton concentrations, all of which change throughout the season.

Even when bioluminescence is limited, you’ll still enjoy an incredible guided night snorkelling experience, discovering Ballinskelligs Bay’s rich underwater world, including colourful seaweeds, fascinating invertebrates and nocturnal marine life.

Suitable for confident swimmers with previous snorkelling experience. All equipment is provided. If you have never snorkelled before, please do a daytime snorkelling tour with us first.
