Experience one of Ireland’s most spectacular coastal wildlife hotspots on this guided 4-hour shore-based wildlife watching adventure along the breathtaking Bolus Head Trail on the Wild Atlantic Way.

From dramatic cliff tops overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, we’ll search for an incredible variety of marine wildlife. Depending on the season and conditions, you may spot Minke, Fin and Humpback Whales, Common and Bottlenose Dolphins, Harbour Porpoises, Basking Sharks, seals and a wide range of seabirds.

Bolus Head is also an excellent location for observing Northern Gannets, Fulmars, Razorbills, Guillemots, Kittiwakes, Shags and many other coastal birds, while your guide shares fascinating insights into their behaviour, migration and the unique marine ecosystem of the Skellig Coast.

Along the walk, we’ll also discover the area’s rich coastal flora, geology and local history, with plenty of opportunities to stop, enjoy the scenery and take photographs. Light refreshments are included.

Please note: As this is a genuine wildlife experience, sightings cannot be guaranteed. Every tour is different, and that’s part of the magic. While whales and dolphins are regularly seen from the Bolus Head coastline, nature is unpredictable. Whatever the day brings, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable experience exploring one of Ireland’s richest marine wildlife habitats with an experienced local guide.
